"I was very sceptical when I was told that, under the new R60 standards, we were recommended to add at least 9 inches of insulation to our attic. Although we didn't have any ice spikes under our roof during the winter, we did have rooms on the second floor that were significantly colder than others. Yet our house isn't that old.
